The digital home of Toronto's most exclusive event organizer.

Friends Only is an invite-only event organizer creating unique social experiences in iconic venues across Toronto, Montreal and San Francisco. From libraries to airports, every event is designed to be unforgettable. With 85K followers across social media and their invite-list, they needed a website that captures that energy, manages a 9,000+ person waitlist, and attracts sponsors.

The challenge
Friends Only had built a massive community through social media and word of mouth. 85K followers, sold-out events, and a growing waitlist. But no website, no central hub to point people to. They needed a home for their brand online: somewhere to showcase past events, collect waitlist signups, pitch to sponsors, and communicate the exclusivity of what they do. The site had to feel as curated as the events themselves.

The approach
Friends Only isn't a typical brand. It's built on scarcity, exclusivity, and experiences you had to be there for. The site needed to reflect that tension: show enough to intrigue, hold back enough to make you want in. We designed every interaction to feel intentional and premium.

The solution
A 4-page site plus 13 dedicated event pages, built on Webflow with 6 CMS collections. Immersive scroll animations with GSAP, smooth scrolling with Lenis, and video embeds that play on hover to bring past events to life. Events automatically filter between upcoming and past based on the date, keeping the site fresh without manual work.

The result
Friends Only now has a digital home that matches the exclusivity of their events. The team manages their event catalog independently through the CMS, collects waitlist signups and sponsor inquiries without friction, and has a portfolio of past experiences that sells the brand better than any pitch deck could. The site doesn't just inform, it makes you want to be on the list.
